SWATCH LIKE A MANIAC
A colour companion for watercolour painters, built around my curated palette.
Load any reference photo and Swatch Maniac simplifies it into its dominant colours, then matches each one to the closest pigment in the palette — giving you a painting plan before you pick up a brush.
The palette is built using common pigments. While I've painted the swatches using Daniel Smith pigments, you should be able to match these to what's on your palette. Swatch Maniac is a work in progress and we plan to extend it to other pigments and brands too. And allow you to customise it to your own palette.

Swatch Maniac is designed with privacy in mind. Here's exactly what happens to your data:
Your photo is processed almost entirely on your device — it's never uploaded or transmitted to our server. Once you close or refresh the page, it's gone; we never see it or keep a copy. We do transmit a small colour sample from your photo (similar to a colour histogram) to help tune swatch recommendations.
This tool does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising scripts. We don't build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share data with advertisers because there isn't any to share.
The app may use your browser's local storage to remember basic preferences (such as your last-used palette or settings) so the tool works smoothly between visits. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Like virtually every website, our hosting server automatically logs basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, and the date/time of access. This is standard internet infrastructure data used only for security and keeping the site running, and is not used to identify or track individuals.
You don't need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use this tool.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if we add a feature that does involve data collection — we'll update this page to reflect that clearly.
