Grass-roofed cottage

Step-by-Step - Level ◆◆◆
Isn't this a cute little scene? These types grass-roofed cottages have so much character and charm. This one is from Norway and I feel like it's unusual in being made of stone, not of wood.
There's lots to explore in this in this sketch - the rainy sky, the grassy hill full of texture and colour, and, of course, the details on the cottage.
This is the final version from the 3 different ones we explored in last week's post. But if one of the other compositions was your favourite, then you can sketch that, using the same steps I explain below. You'll need a little bit of table salt for adding some texture to the hill, so put that to one side before you start.
Happy painting!
