Old boats on the north coast of Spain

There's such romance and artistic history in boat paintings in all mediums. But for me they really should be painted in watercolours, of course!

This is a scene from the pretty little coastal town of San Vicente de la Baquera on the north coast of Spain. We'll paint the moody, rainy sky, the water and reflections and the old boats.

There's a lot of detail in this painting, so take your time and break the painting into these smaller parts, you'll find this scene completely achievable.

I'd also suggest you don't try painting this too small. Bring out a bigger piece of paper and you won't have to try capture all the details with a very tiny brush ;-)
