mushroom season

Paint a parasol mushroom in watercolours

It's that time of year when our forest walks take forever as I have to stop at every mushroom not matter how small. There's so many different ones this year because we've had a very wet autumn and, although I'm not brave enough to pick edible ones for myself yet, we have kind neighbours that have been keeping us well supplied with forest bounty :-)

This one is a parasol mushroom, although it's new and hasn't made it's parasol yet. I loved the dark markings on this one, each one sticking out of the cap a little and the very top-heavy cap itself is so cute.

Happy painting!
