the matterhorn in spring

Watercolour painting of the Matterhorn
Watercolour painting of the Matterhorn

There’s something magical about the Matterhorn — its sharp, snow-covered peak, the way clouds drift around it, and the wildflowers at its base. It feels like a place straight out of a storybook!

Capturing that grandeur is all about making the mountain feel like it soars. And those big fluffy cumulus clouds really help. They’re easier to paint than you’d think!

But my favourite part was painting the vibrant spring meadow—it brings so much life to the scene.
