early morning walks

Early Morning Walk No. 1 (SOLD)
Early Morning Walk No. 1 (SOLD)

Last spring on an early morning walk in the hills, when I was all alone and could stop as many times as I liked to smell the flowers. Not exactly alone, really, because there were lots of birds and bees too. The dew was heavy, my feet sopping wet, the sun just dawning, the path overgrown with flowers. I'm finally putting these moments on paper.

Watercolours, 28 x19cm, available here.

Flower names are fascinating. These are lavender-cotton, but they don't look like either.
