Waterlily Pond No.1 - I enjoyed playing with the light on the water
Waterlily Pond No.1 - I enjoyed playing with the light on the water

In order to advertise next year's painting holiday in France, I took a trip down memory lane through the hundreds and hundreds of photos I've taken on the last 3 retreats, looking for the perfect photos for social media posts.

I've got so many inspiring photos from our visits to the water gardens near Sarlat-la-Caneda. Instead of doing the marketing for next year's retreat I thought I'd just paint a lily pond. Just a quick one, you know, before getting back to business. Before I knew it, days had passed and my studio was full of waterlily paintings. Oops!

Which reminds me, to remind you, that 2026's painting holiday at Perigord Retreats in France is filling up! Why don't you join us? More details here.

Marketing done ;-) Here are some of my favourites from my waterlily pond sessions.

All 3 watercolour paintings are available for sale
