old dinghy in watercolour

watercolour dinghy - full video tutorial

I have such a soft spot for this little old dinghy. I first found it in a photo on Unsplash, and I’ve painted it so many times - changing its mood, colours, and surroundings.

This time I kept the boat just as it was, but set it by the sea on a calm, tranquil day. A reflection of my mood at the time.

You can paint this scene along with me, as this is a full tutorial. I explain how to 'relocate' the boat and make the scene your own. I also give you the drawing to trace if you think the boat might be a little tricky.
