an Italian sketching holiday you’ll never forget

Have you ever dreamed of wandering through medieval villages, sketchbook in hand, capturing stone archways, sunlit vineyards, and mountain views that take your breath away?

Imagine staying in a beautifully restored palazzo, sharing meals with fellow artists, and filling your pages with memories that last a lifetime.

I invite you to join me for a very special sketching holiday in Italy in September 2026.

We’ll be based at Hotel Leone, a luxury boutique hotel in Montelparo. Once a pre-1500s palazzo, it’s now an award-winning retreat nestled between the dramatic Sibillini Mountains and the sparkling Adriatic coast. Every alleyway, rolling hill, and lively piazza around us will be inspiration waiting for your brush.

Throughout the week, we’ll paint en plein air or in our private studio space. Together we’ll explore perspective, composition, colour theory, and watercolour techniques as we sketch landscapes, architecture, and the everyday beauty of Italian life. My aim is simple: to help you gain the confidence to carry your sketchbook everywhere you go.

Beyond painting, you’ll enjoy the rich culture of the region—delicious local food and wine, cultural excursions, and the joy of connecting with like-minded creatives.

The Details:

  • 7 nights in Montelparo, Italy

  • All sketching and painting sessions included

  • From €3,499 per person

  • Spaces are limited!

If Italy has been calling your name, this could be your chance to answer—with pen, brush, and sketchbook in hand.
